We went to the zoo with Kelly, Maddie and Caden. It was a perfect day! We had so much fun!!

We decided to ride the train first. Here are three of them waiting for the train.

It really is hard getting 4 kids under 4 to all look in the same direction At least Kelly listens

This chimp seems to be saying, ‘what is going on with this kid?’

The stingray exhibit is at the zoo right now. We used my zoo membership and it only cost $1.50 each. Abby loved it!!!

Kelly actually touched one! Yay Kelly!!!

We went to the sea lion show! The girls liked it for about 4 minutes They may need another year or two before they can actually sit and enjoy it – not quite enough action

Abby stopped to see the fish swimming with the hippos.

The rhinos were out!

We decided to run through The River’s Edge and see if the Elephants where out. This is about where we lost Hannah.

But the elephants WERE out! Yipee! Even the baby was out today!

Kelly wanted to stop in the gift shop so I got each girl a stingray.

Four tired kids and a wonderful day!

Daddy keeps finding worms that are trying to commit suicide! Why on earth do they insist on stretching out on our HOT sidewalk?!!? Today he found one out front while Abby was swimming in her pool. He brought him to the back and they dunked him in some water then put him in some wet mulch. We’ll see how he does UPDATE: Daddy went to check on the worm and he is gone! They may have saved this one!!! (or someone had him for lunch )

For some reason it seems the pools I buy typically last a couple months? I don’t know why?? Oh well, we usually don’t have to store them then

Ever since we were at Hurricane Harbor Abby just had to have some goggles! “I like the Wizard of Oz!” LOL Who get’s this joke first?

Abigail’s 1st Haircut!

Well, we finally did it! Abby got a haircut! We prepared by watching Henry “Oswald” get his hair cut. We learned that it wouldn’t hurt and we might get a lollipop (or sticker) when we were done. Then I pulled up the webpage of The Hairy Elephant so she could see what it was going to look like. And then, we went. She did great!!! I was so proud of her!

This is the major reason we had to go — Abby’s hair is super curly underneath… and ultra straight and stringy on top

She was really excited about going!

She sat in a white truck and watched a Piglet movie.

Tracy pulled the front of her hair back and pinned it up with two little butterflies! Super cute!

Abby took some time to play with Thomas the Train before we left.

And she got an Official Certificate stating she got her very first haircut!

Hannah had a really rough night last night. She just couldn’t breathe and wasn’t happy about it! Today she was just worn out. She fell asleep as I was putting her in the car to go to the grocery store. Sooo, out came Simon. She never even woke up until we reached the check out lanes

I was looking out the front window today and noticed a turtle sitting in the road. If you’ve been to our house – you know how fast the traffic moves… this turtle didn’t have a chance! So I ran out and picked him up. He stopped for a minute in the house so that the girls could see him. They were VERY interested. Hannah had zero fear. Apparently she’s never seen how dangerous the mouth part of a turtle can be! I kept having horrible visuals of how I would have to get her fingers out of the turtle… yuck! Anyway, we moved him to the back yard in a pie plate with some water. He hung out there for a long time. Abby fed him some grass and leaves while Hannah played with the water toys. While we were eating breakfast “Sally” went on her way

After hanging out with us for a while she decided to take off. Abby said she was going to find her mommy but she would probably come back to visit. This is why I still have a pie plate of water in my back yard

Well, I was just thinking the other day – there are so many things our girls have already done that I didn’t do till later in life. Starbucks, Steak N Shake, seeing the Arch — just a few that come to mind … But then again, they haven’t been fishing or tooling around in a canoe or john boat either Anyway, today they added another to the list. We tackled Six Flags!! Our friend Michelle invited us to go and we had a blast! Kelly went too! Caden and Maddie weren’t able to make this trip Hopefully they can come next time!

As soon as we pulled into the parking lot Abby started yelling about the GIGANTIC FERRIS WHEEL!!! I told her we would do everything we could to get a ride on that BIG RIDE!!

This is Abby waiting in her very first “thrill ride” line. You may notice that the gate is directly in front of her. Not a real WAIT if you ask me!

Abby picked the Hot Air Balloons as her first ride. She wanted the blue one. As we were getting in the seat a little girl ran over to ride with us. Abby was scared though and just wanted to ride with me – so she gave up that seat and ran to find another blue balloon. I apologized to the little girl and explained that this was Abby’s first time

Up and down and around and around! Abby had a great big smile most of the ride. Towards the end though, she asked if we could stop spinning.

She picked the Train as her next ride. Michelle took her for a spin on this one.

We headed over to Hurricane Harbor for the rest of the day. We played in the kid area (until someone pooped in the pool) And we spent time in the big wave pool.

I applied and reapplied sunblock to the girls numerous times. Unfortunately, I forgot to take care of myself in the same way :/

Both girls had tons of fun. Hannah loved laying on her back and kicking her feet. Abby played on the small water slides and bounced in the waves. We didn’t have the camera out while we were playing… but we posed for a couple shots right before we left. Don’t worry. Hannah had a life vest on the entire day. We just hopped back in the pool to grab these shots
