Mom and Dad left yesterday. They were such a huge help! There is still so much to do. I finally got the phones and Internet up yesterday. We still don’t have tv. And I haven’t opened many of the bonus room/toy boxes :/ The girls have been pretty content playing in their new backyard. This morning I decided to see what I could find at Playhouse Disney… EUREKA!!!!!!! 7 minutes to myself
We’re in!
Was it really only a month ago?
Look really close :)
That time again!
I was standing outside talking to Tim (roof guy) and then I heard it – a very distorted POP GOES THE WEASEL!! Panic struck when I realized I didn’t have any dollars. Then I turned to Tim and said, “Eeks, I sure hope she doesn’t hear that!” I looked back toward the house and a sad little face was pressed against the window. I ran to the door and told her I’d look for dollars. When I couldn’t find any, I remembered the change jar! The girls didn’t have shoes on, but it was such a beautiful day we just didn’t care! I scooped up Hannah and Abby followed close behind. Then we waited. And waited. And waited some more!! It seems the other end of the neighborhood must have lots of kids! Finally we heard the music again. Abby, of course, picked out the chocolate cone! I set them free in the backyard. Shoeless and dripping with chocolate! It was a good afternoon. I came in the house to keep packing. And out of the corner of my eye I caught the most beautiful sight. Abby was sharing. I didn’t make her. I wasn’t even supervising. I’m not gonna lie – I think a tear rolled down my face. No matter what I tell you at 7pm when we’ve all had a very long day – we have two very good girls
Minnie Pearl
Irish? Maybe…
Airplane park!
Projects!
Well today’s projects weren’t mine. Thank goodness!! The roof is being replaced and a window too! We had some pretty brave guys and a really big truck!!! Now we are left with a big dumpster.
The window is in and the roof should be completed tomorrow. We’ve already had the ac serviced. Jamey has replaced some smoke alarms and fixed a water shut off handle. And finally we tightened a nut under the sink. We have one more inspection tomorrow and then we’ll be done! Whew!!
Our realtor says that all but one of our requests have already been fixed at our new house too!! It seems everyone is ready to get this show on the road
