If you know us at all – you’ll know that we have had maybe 2 weekends alone since the weather was over 70. We love company – and we’ve had a ton!! This past weekend was no exception. We had some planned company and some very unexpected (but very welcomed) company!

The Alexander’s like to take us to a NASCAR race every year. My parents hadn’t been here in a while so I checked to see if they would babysit since it would be an all day/night affair. Of course they were game! So we had a houseful! The girls loved every minute as you might have assumed :)

We started Sunday off with a HUGE breakfast. Mom and I got up early and threw a couple quiches together. I had to read the manual to learn how to use my new oven. It was awesome! I made the pie crust and mom threw together the filling. Super Yummy! Spinach, mushroom, cheddar, swiss and bacon. Delightful!

Mom always made pinwheel cookies with the left over dough. I’ve grown up doing the same thing. I think we all can agree that homemade pie crust should NEVER be wasted!

The table was set and the food was delicious!

And of course no summertime meal is complete without a fresh tomato from Grandpa! We dressed up the plate a  bit with a bit of basil from the backyard.

Hannah LOVES quiche!

Jamey took some time to show Grandpa our electronics.

Of course this got my dads attention too!

Mom kept our Facebook friends current. Check out that sweet computer. Jamey was trying to find a way to snag it before they left. Not successful :/

Grandma Elaine and Abby played with the babies for a bit.

Hannah took her puppy for a walk.

And then… the unexpected… JASON WAS IN TOWN!!!! Of course we loved every minute with the grandparents – but Jason had never even met Abby. The last time I had seen him I was pregnant with her. It was a great surprise and Jamey loved every minute of seeing his best buddy! For those of you that don’t know, Jason is living in Florida now. It really was just a HUGE surprise!

Time to say goodbye so soon :( We were thrilled he could stay as long as he did! You are welcome back anytime Jason! The girls loved him. He was just awesome with them.

One Response to “Company? Really? :)”

  1. It was a great week-end! We’d come more often if you were available! Seems like you either have company or somewhere to go every week-end . . . sigh . . . We’d still like to babysit so you two could have a late ‘date night’! And we need to bring grandma and grandpa up to see your new house! You’ll just have to find a couple of week-ends to squeeze us in! :)

It was great seeing the Alexanders! We haven’t seen them in a while! And I wish we could have stayed longer to visit with Jason and eat those delicious looking grilled hamburgers! As it was, we got to Uncle Harold’s 80th birthday party about 5 I think (started at 3!). It was good seeing all the family and friends there too!

Just an all around great week-end!!! Love the pictures and love you all!
