Dear AT&T,
Your 3G coverage in Las Vegas is terrible. Please fix it.
Thank you,

New backend for FEGER.net
We have decided to switch formats again. This format should be slightly more friendly longterm. In addition to the appearance, it is much easier for us. We now have the ability to update on the fly via our iPhone’s.
A few new features exist now as well. Something called “tags” will show up in the posts and in the panel on the right hand side. These allow you to easily click a tag and get messages also tagged with the same word. We also have categories, which will work the same way. One more new feature is the automatic archive, which allows you to go to posts based on the month it was posted.
Let us know what you think.
Hannah’s First Haircut!
Our precious little Hannah had a horrible mullet. The “business up front/party in back” look was not so flattering. I decided that she could go ahead and get her first haircut a little earlier than Abby did so that she could look presentable at Aunt Tricia’s wedding
Hannah went to The Hairy Elephant ( Just like Abby ). She sat down in the yellow car and just did excellent!
She also got her very first pony tails from Tracy. They lasted until we got in the car and she had nothing better to do but pull them out :/
A funny little note: They only charged me for a “bang trim” because they only had to cut one side of her head :/
Abby did great while we were there. There is so much to play with that I was able to stay with Hannah the entire time. Abby had a blast with the mazes on the wall and the Thomas Table.
We all went to Target after the haircut to get something from the $1 bin. Everyone did great! It was a fun morning
Our Little Tinkers!
The other day I called Becky to ask about princess movies fit for Abby. I was worried — because when I think about princess movies there is the evil witch in Snow White — There is Ursala in The Little Mermaid… She wanted to see some princesses but I was worried about the scary stuff. So, Becky recommended Tinker Bell.
WOW! It is excellent!!! The music the colors the dialog! I just thought it was perfect! And the girls love it too!!
I thought it would be nice to get the girls some wings and a magic wand and they could go as fairies for Halloween/Tricia’s reception.
Well Abby LOVES the wings!! At first she was a bit disappointed that they didn’t flap. I convinced her that they only flap when she runs. This ended up being a good solution for her. I found some Tinker Bell PJs for each of them.
Abby had to take a minute to fix Hannah’s wings. Apparently they weren’t flapping correctly when she was running.
Whew! Fixed!!
Pumpkin Patch 2009
Can you believe it is that time already? We had our annual visit to the pumpkin patch! This year we made a return visit to Thies Farm. It makes for a wonderful family outing! Parking is free!
We met our great friends Chris and Kelly there.
The kids were all so excited to see each other. We chose to sit down and have some lunch before entering the play area. This year we tried the bbq chicken sandwich. It was pretty yummy!
The kids had hot dogs and chips ![]()
Next we headed over to the play area
The kids all had tons of fun here! They all took turns on the tractors. For whatever reason they love pushing each other! This is Hannah and Caden.
Abby paused for a moment so I could catch a smile!
She really was happy… I promise! She just wouldn’t look at me and be happy…
Hannah wore her new skirt and her cute new jack-o-lantern jacket!
This is the best I could get of them together.
The entire gang. Now the story behind this picture (EVERY year) is — C and J do not want to pose for this. I get it… the kids are crawling on us. At least one of them is very mad about being contained. The tallest one decided she wasn’t going to look at the camera. The wind is blowing. Other people are waiting to sit in the same spot to take their own picture. AND to top it all off you have to find someone to actually take the picture for you. But, I love the picture. Every year, no matter what everyone is doing or how frazzeled we look… it is great to look back at this particular picture ![]()
The kids. Maddie (4), Hannah (1.5), Abby (3.5), Caden (almost 2)
Feger Family. Notice I have the “keep your hands out of your face” hold on Abby.
There was a big corral filled with hay for the kids to play in. This photo caught the exact moment that Caden put Abby in her place! Well, okay, what really happened was Abby was running around crazy and once Caden jumped in the ring he started running crazy and they smacked right into each other. Caden won ![]()
Abby got her moment though. This appears to be big sister helping little sister not fall into the corral. But what was really happening is Abby was throwing Hannah in! She bounced off of her face and popped right up. This made Kelly laugh! I watched it all happening and all I could think was, “I gotta get this on camera!” LOL
Abby did the maze.
Abby loved riding on the tire horse. Hannah wasn’t so into it ![]()
Abby giving us another great smile!
Abby did the big slide! She wanted to do the “one where they give you the makin” She was calling the potato sack a napkin ![]()
Then you can visit the store. The store has all kinds of jams and jellies and butters and produce! We grabbed some puffed corn and a couple pumpkins and headed out.
It was a great day!!
Holy Cow!!
Two months??? I need to update this blog! Of course if you know us you know we’ve been sitting around wasting time. We usually aren’t too busy or traveling too much or doing house projects. So, I guess I’m saying I really have no excuse
Sooo, Does Abby look like a 6 year old in this picture or what??
And here’s smiling Hannah!
House For Sale!
Well where have I been??
We’ve been getting this house ready to sell! We’ve decided that a little more storage and a lot more yard would be really nice. Sooo, if you are one of the people I’ve been neglecting – hopefully you can find a bit of comfort in the pics of our “ready for the market” house! A couple overall comments… Since we have lived here we have painted every wall/ceiling and changed out every bathroom faucet and light fixture. We also changed the majority of the light switch plates to ceramic. AND brand new carpet that is only a week old!
Enjoy!
Here are a couple outside pics for you.
We added new shutters in the front.
I needed some color in the back so I planted a couple pots. I used these for herbs and veggies this summer – but they had pretty much lived their lives so I thought some mums were in order ![]()
This area was an old sandbox from the previous owners. We originally were going to pay someone to haul away the wood and level the ground so we could plant grass. Then we decided a few bags of mulch would be just as nice ![]()
Living Room
This used to be the living room then it became the toy room and now we are back to living room! Yay!
Dining Room
We removed two pieces of furniture from this room to open it up a bit. A big wooden cd rack and walnut plant stand. The chandelier was one of the first purchases we made when we got our dining room set years ago.
Half Bathroom
We removed all the “clutter” and bought a lovely rowboat picture. I also painted the corner shelves white to match the new frame. New vinyl tile floor in here!
Kitchen
We removed all of the "country". I bought a new piece of art and then made new curtains to match. I really love the decluttered look of it all! I also put in a new vinyl tile floor. A few years ago Jamey added under cabinet lighting and added a light to the pantry. We also changed all of the light fixtures in this room.
Family Room
This room had the biggest transformation in my opinion. We removed tons of furniture including a 55 gallon salt water aquarium. We rotated the furniture that was left. Jamey rewired our surround sound to work from a different corner of the room. I LOVE this room now!!!! It feels so open and comfy!
Hall Bathroom
This room didn’t change much. I did add the new vinyl floor – but that is about it. All of the changes made in this room occurred not long after we purchased the house.
Abby’s Room
We didn’t change her room at all.
Hannah’s Room
We removed a tall mirror and a small table from this room.
Master Bedroom
We removed my hope chest and lots of clutter
I gave this room a fresh coat of paint this weekend.
Master Bath
No changes here. Just the new floor.
The basement and bathroom are almost finished. I’ll add those pics as soon as I can. We are hoping to have our house up a week from tuesday! Wish us luck!!
A quilt for new baby Julia.
Craig and Alice had their new baby a few weeks ago. I usually make/buy a gift for brand new babies just because they were born. You know, that is a rough trip!
I found this quilt on a blog that I decided I wanted to make. It didn’t look too hard so I thought I’d give it a shot!
It is called a rag quilt.
The basic steps are to take a couple pieces of flannel and sew them together with an “X”. Then you sew all of the squares together.
The final step is the cut each raw edge every 1/4 inch or so then wash/dry it.
It gets so fluffy and fuzzy and nice ![]()
