So, we’ve always lived on a hill. Possibly you remember all of the steps. There was just never really a good place to teach Abby to ride a bicycle. Well, for the last couple of days she’s been going crazy on her little tricycle. And Hannah has been even crazier!!! They both want to ride it – NOTHING else will do. So, today, when I walked into the garage and saw this:

I decided to bribe the bigger one with this:

She LOVED it. It was blue ya know! :)

The pink helmet is in storage :/ But Hannah had to be just like Abby and would not go with us unless she had a “hat” too. Daddy to the rescue!!

We were on our driveway which has a tiny slope. Our neighbor Renee walked out and said that the cul de sac was the best “learn to ride your bicycle” place on the street. She was pushing her daughter in a stroller. I was pushing Hannah on the tricycle and together we managed to teach Abby to ride her new bike. We had been out for about 10 minutes before it occurred to me to tell her why Hannah was wearing a winter hat :) Hehehe, Crazy new neighbors :P

And a couple of Hannah. Once Abby went inside to fill her new water bottle – Hannah snuck in a quick turn.

Going to try to post the video here:

We had breakfast at BreadCo. Then went to a couple stores. Abby and Hannah picked up some bunnies at JoAnns. Then we came home and pushed them around the backyard :)

They were just looking pretty cute! So I grabbed some pictures :)

And a couple of them today :)

Well where have I been?? :) We’ve been getting this house ready to sell! We’ve decided that a little more storage and a lot more yard would be really nice. Sooo, if you are one of the people I’ve been neglecting – hopefully you can find a bit of comfort in the pics of our “ready for the market” house! A couple overall comments… Since we have lived here we have painted every wall/ceiling and changed out every bathroom faucet and light fixture. We also changed the majority of the light switch plates to ceramic. AND brand new carpet that is only a week old! :)

Enjoy!

Here are a couple outside pics for you.

We added new shutters in the front.

I needed some color in the back so I planted a couple pots. I used these for herbs and veggies this summer – but they had pretty much lived their lives so I thought some mums were in order :)

This area was an old sandbox from the previous owners. We originally were going to pay someone to haul away the wood and level the ground so we could plant grass. Then we decided a few bags of mulch would be just as nice :P

Living Room
This used to be the living room then it became the toy room and now we are back to living room! Yay!

Dining Room
We removed two pieces of furniture from this room to open it up a bit. A big wooden cd rack and walnut plant stand. The chandelier was one of the first purchases we made when we got our dining room set years ago.

Half Bathroom
We removed all the “clutter” and bought a lovely rowboat picture. I also painted the corner shelves white to match the new frame. New vinyl tile floor in here!

Kitchen
We removed all of the "country". I bought a new piece of art and then made new curtains to match. I really love the decluttered look of it all! I also put in a new vinyl tile floor. A few years ago Jamey added under cabinet lighting and added a light to the pantry. We also changed all of the light fixtures in this room.

Family Room
This room had the biggest transformation in my opinion. We removed tons of furniture including a 55 gallon salt water aquarium. We rotated the furniture that was left. Jamey rewired our surround sound to work from a different corner of the room. I LOVE this room now!!!! It feels so open and comfy!

Hall Bathroom
This room didn’t change much. I did add the new vinyl floor – but that is about it. All of the changes made in this room occurred not long after we purchased the house.

Abby’s Room
We didn’t change her room at all.

Hannah’s Room
We removed a tall mirror and a small table from this room.

Master Bedroom
We removed my hope chest and lots of clutter :) I gave this room a fresh coat of paint this weekend.

Master Bath
No changes here. Just the new floor.

The basement and bathroom are almost finished. I’ll add those pics as soon as I can. We are hoping to have our house up a week from tuesday! Wish us luck!!

We have a couple pots in the backyard. One has herbs and the other has some tomatoes and peppers. The tomatoes finally turned red! Abby had been begging to pick them while they were orange. So, when they finally turned red we went over the the plant and I pulled back the leaves so she could grab one. As I was rearranging the leaves so she could grab the next one I noticed that she was no longer standing right beside me. When I looked up all she said was

MMMMM JUICY!!!

Nice Abby! :P We were able to pick four pretty nice little red ones.

Abby just kept eating the one she picked first.

She took a break to play in the pool for a bit. But don’t worry… she came back and finished it off!

For some reason it seems the pools I buy typically last a couple months? I don’t know why?? Oh well, we usually don’t have to store them then :)

This one has a slide!

Ever since we were at Hurricane Harbor Abby just had to have some goggles! “I like the Wizard of Oz!” LOL Who get’s this joke first?

Well, the girls are sick… again! This year is starting off pretty rough :( We were supposed to go to Peoria this weekend, but we just weren’t able to go. Hannah started off with a pretty high fever on Tuesday I think? It only lasted a couple hours. However, yesterday, Hannah got a really yucky snotty/runny nose and a cough. Abby got the fever on wednesday and she still hasn’t shook it. She also has a very sore throat. Sigh. Sooo, Here we are in St. Louis. The Steinke’s invited us over, but we just didn’t think the girls were well enough to go. I ran to the grocery store yesterday and grabbed a ham and a couple other items. Jamey and I sat down to a nice dinner of ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, scalloped corn, cranberry salad, rolls, tea, and apple dumplings. Not bad for short notice :)

Here are a couple snapshots from today.

The day started out with Abby crying for the first couple hours

Then she finally got up to walk around and she spotted the Easter baskets.

She had been asking for Peeps since they hit the shelves right after Christmas. But I guess with her throat feeling so yucky – they didn’t live up to her expectations.

The Easter Bunny left some Thomas stickers in her basket. She decided to put the train across her shirt.

It was so nice of her to share a sticker with Hannah.

Abby also played with some “catchable” bubbles!

At some point they both got a little bit of an appetite and opted for puffs.

Abby decided to take her bug stickers and do an art project.

But she got tired and needed to rest on the couch while she finished it.

They are still crying. J and I are both beat. I think it is about bedtime. :)

Happy Easter!!
