Girls night has changed quite a bit in the last 10 years. Now, I don’t really have to worry about who’s driving home and who we are going to see out — I usually worry about who is going to poo their pants and if my toes will get ran over :/

Tonight the girls and I decided to take a long walk around the neighborhood. We started off on our street talking to neighbors. Then we strolled around to another cul de sac. Finally we ended up on the walking trail and looped around the pond. We saw lots of ducks while we were by the pond. Abby even pointed out that a couple of them were playing! “Look Mommy!! That one with the green head is jumping on that one with the brown head. Wow! He’s holding him under water! They sure look like they are having fun.” LOL!!!! Apparently some of the ducks had been playing earlier in the season. We got to see a nice little bunch of babies :)

After our walk Abby asked if she could ride her bike for a bit. We did two laps around the cul de sac. She is really getting good!

I just have to remind her to look where she is going. She gets so caught up watching her feet!!

They both had lots of fun! (I have to go get that other helmet out of storage!!) Jeesh!

So, we’ve always lived on a hill. Possibly you remember all of the steps. There was just never really a good place to teach Abby to ride a bicycle. Well, for the last couple of days she’s been going crazy on her little tricycle. And Hannah has been even crazier!!! They both want to ride it – NOTHING else will do. So, today, when I walked into the garage and saw this:

I decided to bribe the bigger one with this:

She LOVED it. It was blue ya know! :)

The pink helmet is in storage :/ But Hannah had to be just like Abby and would not go with us unless she had a “hat” too. Daddy to the rescue!!

We were on our driveway which has a tiny slope. Our neighbor Renee walked out and said that the cul de sac was the best “learn to ride your bicycle” place on the street. She was pushing her daughter in a stroller. I was pushing Hannah on the tricycle and together we managed to teach Abby to ride her new bike. We had been out for about 10 minutes before it occurred to me to tell her why Hannah was wearing a winter hat :) Hehehe, Crazy new neighbors :P

And a couple of Hannah. Once Abby went inside to fill her new water bottle – Hannah snuck in a quick turn.

Going to try to post the video here:
