I’d rather have broccoli and cous cous!! Seriously?? SERIOUSLY!!
So, Abby has turned into quite a picky eater. The good thing is she doesn’t really beg for specific foods – she just chooses to eat/not eat what is in front of her. So be it… maybe she just isn’t hungry?
Hannah, on the other hand, will eat most anything. Jamey and I were going to be eating quite late the other night – so I made the girls a quick grilled cheese and some carrot sticks. Abby sat and ate her food. But not Hannah. STRANGE!! Hannah is more like a small goat or vacuum. I was really perplexed with this one!
The girls were winding down and getting ready for bed. Jamey grilled us some steaks (Abby would NEVER even consider eating meat like this) and I made some broccoli and cous cous. The next thing I know Hannah pops up and says, “tree” “TREE”!!!! Ah, the kid wants some broccoli! Who knew??? So, in the end, Hannah split my steak with me – bite for bite!! Then finished off my trees and cous cous!

Abby was content painting.

Several of our good friends ran the GO! St. Louis race this past weekend. Jamey, Abby, Hannah and I all went to watch. Abby was so excited that Kelli was going to “win” and get a gold medal. She was lost for words when Kelli let her try it on. It was a good day with great friends!

We were getting ready to head home so Abby let Kelli have her winning gold medal back

I’d also like to mention that you may see that Kelli “only” did the half marathon — about two weeks ago she ran the Bataan Memorial Death March (26.2 miles) in her combat boots and other gear . Kelli is on the left

She opted to wear an adorable skirt for this race. She is one amazing person and athlete!

The Parkway School District participated in “Hats On Day for kids fighting cancer”. Abby wore her pink Old Navy hat. She donated 50 cents and is super excited about getting a sticker today! — Hannah stepped out to wave bye bye as Jamey and Abby were leaving.

Well today’s projects weren’t mine. Thank goodness!! The roof is being replaced and a window too! We had some pretty brave guys and a really big truck!!! Now we are left with a big dumpster.
The window is in and the roof should be completed tomorrow. We’ve already had the ac serviced. Jamey has replaced some smoke alarms and fixed a water shut off handle. And finally we tightened a nut under the sink. We have one more inspection tomorrow and then we’ll be done! Whew!!
Our realtor says that all but one of our requests have already been fixed at our new house too!! It seems everyone is ready to get this show on the road

I just wanted to do a quick recap. Jamey was a great daddy. He held Abby’s hand through the airport when she looked like this. And he held Hannah’s hand through Cocoa Beach while she looked like this.

We’re back! Abby gave Jamey a hand with the luggage
On the ride back to our car I told Abby she had a blue tongue. I took a picture so she could see. Then I told Hannah to show me her tongue. This is what I got :/

This morning Laura asked if I had heard the news!! The whales would be out today!! It was raining – but we figured we were going to get wet anyway
We couldn’t get out of the hotel fast enough. We were literaly running through SeaWorld to make it to the show on time. It just feels like our SeaWorld experience is complete. Jamey and Matt were able to join us today!! We had fantastic seats in the splash zone! It was so very emotional to see the trainers. We noticed one smiling through her tears. They did a beautiful slideshow of the trainer that had died earlier in the week. Between seeing the massive, beautiful whales and the incredible, emotional, brave trainers I just couldn’t stop crying. I was in awe when every trainer stood on the side of the pool and dove in!! It just took my breath away. They swam across the tank and jumped out right in front of us. Seeing THIS show was such a perfect ending
