Well, the girls are sick… again! This year is starting off pretty rough We were supposed to go to Peoria this weekend, but we just weren’t able to go. Hannah started off with a pretty high fever on Tuesday I think? It only lasted a couple hours. However, yesterday, Hannah got a really yucky snotty/runny nose and a cough. Abby got the fever on wednesday and she still hasn’t shook it. She also has a very sore throat. Sigh. Sooo, Here we are in St. Louis. The Steinke’s invited us over, but we just didn’t think the girls were well enough to go. I ran to the grocery store yesterday and grabbed a ham and a couple other items. Jamey and I sat down to a nice dinner of ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, scalloped corn, cranberry salad, rolls, tea, and apple dumplings. Not bad for short notice

The day started out with Abby crying for the first couple hours

Then she finally got up to walk around and she spotted the Easter baskets.

She had been asking for Peeps since they hit the shelves right after Christmas. But I guess with her throat feeling so yucky – they didn’t live up to her expectations.

The Easter Bunny left some Thomas stickers in her basket. She decided to put the train across her shirt.

It was so nice of her to share a sticker with Hannah.

Abby also played with some “catchable” bubbles!

At some point they both got a little bit of an appetite and opted for puffs.

Abby decided to take her bug stickers and do an art project.

But she got tired and needed to rest on the couch while she finished it.

They are still crying. J and I are both beat. I think it is about bedtime.
