I was standing outside talking to Tim (roof guy) and then I heard it – a very distorted POP GOES THE WEASEL!! Panic struck when I realized I didn’t have any dollars. Then I turned to Tim and said, “Eeks, I sure hope she doesn’t hear that!” I looked back toward the house and a sad little face was pressed against the window. I ran to the door and told her I’d look for dollars. When I couldn’t find any, I remembered the change jar! The girls didn’t have shoes on, but it was such a beautiful day we just didn’t care! I scooped up Hannah and Abby followed close behind. Then we waited. And waited. And waited some more!! It seems the other end of the neighborhood must have lots of kids! Finally we heard the music again. Abby, of course, picked out the chocolate cone! I set them free in the backyard. Shoeless and dripping with chocolate! It was a good afternoon. I came in the house to keep packing. And out of the corner of my eye I caught the most beautiful sight. Abby was sharing. I didn’t make her. I wasn’t even supervising. I’m not gonna lie – I think a tear rolled down my face. No matter what I tell you at 7pm when we’ve all had a very long day – we have two very good girls :)

The girls are at gma and gpas – and we are at the airport!! This is the first time we’ve done anything big without the girls. So, for those of you that are keeping track – it has been over 4 years!! We are super excited! I checked with mom and dad this morning and the girls are doing great. It seems our flight may be delayed a few minutes (we wanted to enjoy the full airport experience). Speaking of that — I beeped in security. It was my belt. Sigh.

We’ll be staying at the Bellagio. Tonight we’ll see Dave and Tim sitting down to give us an accoustic show!! Tomorrow night we are seeing Ka. We hope to catch a few moments of sounds and lights and then we’ll be heading back on Monday.

Since J gave me this new blog format I can blog pretty much anywhere from my phone. I’ll see if I can keep updating through this trip :)
