I bookmarked a cute turkey shirt last year. I found it this year and decided to take some time to make them for the girls. Here is Abby!
I used some construction paper to make my turkey pattern. Abby found the pieces and decided she wanted to try to make an art project. I think it is beautiful!!!
It was that time again! We just couldn’t fit it in this year until Halloween weekend. I was so worried it would be super crowded — but actually, it was pretty empty!! Have we learned something here? Maybe everyone goes before Halloween? Hrm. Something to think about for next year! As soon as we arrived we went for some food! (I ran my 10k that am and I was starving 
Of course we had some great company!
The first thing we did was play on the tire horses. Both girls loved them!
Then they climbed to the VERY top of the tower!

Have you ever tried to get four kids at the top of a hay tower to look in one direction at the same time?
Then it was time for family pics. We decided to try it early in the day so that everyone might cooperate a bit more.
We did some slides and some scary mazes. It is pitch black inside of the mazes. At one point I sent Abby in with my phone for some light. I must remember flashlights next year. I went through the long one with Abby, Hannah, Caden and another little boy. You really couldn’t even see your hand in front of your face. Crazy dark!!
We finished the day with a hayride!
Oh Jeesh!! I’m so sorry. I just realized how long it has been since I’ve posted anything new for you :/ Well, some of you already know – but I am training for a 1/2 marathon. It is taking every bit of free time that I have. I am up to 9 miles and only have to get to 13. I am running most of it – but there is a bit of walking in there. I only gave myself about 14 weeks to train. And I could only run a mile when I started — so, It won’t be perfect – but I’ll find a way to get it done
I ran a small little race with Christian a couple weeks ago. It was in the evening (after I ran 8 miles the day before). It was pretty horrible. My legs were so tired. The only saving grace was it was really really pretty! They had a back road of Hecker, IL lined with tiki torches – hundreds of them! And, most every one of the 1000+ people running had on blinking lights and glow bracelets/necklaces. So Pretty! I tried to take a picture – but of course it was so dark it just turned out to be a blur of color in the pitch black

Brooke, Ryan, Jamey, Abby and Hannah all cheered for us while we ran! Many others cheered for us in spirit and couldn’t wait to hear about the race when it was over Christian finished a minute or two before me – however, we don’t really know anyone’s official time. It appears the “official results” aren’t too accurate compared to our clocks. I really like the time they had for me better – but I don’t think it is correct :/

We’ve been out of town for over a week! Jamey had to travel so I took the girls home so I could get some much needed time with family and friends. The Feger’s were here before that – so we were having fun out at the campgrounds for a few days! Needless to say I am very far behind with the blog! I have about three weeks worth of stuff to post. 
I’ll try to start today while I’m dealing with this mountain of laundry 
Abby and Hannah really love the back yard. They run and swing and chase and play kickball! Just an all around great time! Be sure to look carefully at the pics below! At first Abby attempts to run and kick the ball. Her foot gets stuck on top and she totally wipes out! She does get up and give it another try — and boots the thing right over the fence!! LOL!!!
We were having some really bad storms at nap time. I walked into Abby’s room to see how she was doing. She was sitting in her big pink chair just watching the storm. I told her that her daddy loves to watch storms too! When I went in to wake her up from nap – she was sleeping in the chair!!!
But my picture taking woke her up.

We had a great time seeing everyone! Even Katie was home from school. We just needed to see Kelli and it could have been perfect!
Who’s kids are these anyway???
Abby is really into marigolds this year. She commented to Annette that she didn’t have the orange ones like hers, only the yellow. Annette sent us home with some orange seeds. Abby got right to planting as soon as she woke up the next day 
We hadn’t had quite enough fun — so we got out the bounce house!
I don’t have the slightest idea of why smashing your face on the mesh is so exciting. I may try it the next time we get this out
