I’ve always wanted to make cut-out, iced sugar cookies. This was the year!! I learned a few tricks along the way. If you chill the cut out cookies before you put them in the oven they will keep their shape much better. I didn’t learn this until the very end – so I will be sure to test this again later. It is far more easy to make a perfect dot with a decorating tip rather than just a bag alone and last but not least: use a lazy susan when icing. Doing 5 cookies at once makes the job go much faster!!

I ended up making a couple different oatmeal cookies, refrigerator cookies, peacan cresents, dipped pretzels, sugar cookies and macaroons. Yummy!!
