We finish our training today. Woot!! However, we don’t get to dialyze at home since our supplies and equipment haven’t arrived. The plan is for J to come back to DaVita this Friday and next Monday. Then we are crossing our fingers that our supplies will be at our house by Tuesday or Wednesday. Once supplies are at our house our PD nurse(s) will come by and help us set everything up. Then J will dialyze every evening for about 8-10 hours. His days will go back to “normal”. We can’t wait!!!
He is starting to feel a bit better. Toxins are being removed from his blood. More toxins will be removed once he is dialyzing at home every night for 8+ hours. He also received some iron this week. I’m sure that is helping him feel a bit more lively too. I am seeing so many more smiles and I’m receiving quite a few more smart@$$ remarks. I do indeed think he is feeling a little better 😉
Kelly stopped by today. We went to lunch and then brought back some food and hot tea for J. It was nice to see an outside face for a minute. We love our nurses and friends here at DaVita but we can’t wait to be back home!!
What a guy won’t do to have a long time pretty friend come by!!! I love it! Can’t wait to see my #1 son feeling like himself again.
Yay! Company!!!
Love both those smiles!!
so glad to hear about the smart a$$ remarks, cause now we know he is feeling better
It’s nice to hear that you will be able to do this in a much less time consuming fashion. I bet you can’t wait. Probably won’t even know what to do with your extra time. Thanks for all of the pictures and updates.
My normal is that we’ve had two RFPs with difficult presentations in the last month. Also, I’m cat sitting for my brother this weekend and a week from tomorrow I go on vacation. We also bought ourselves a new mattress that is hard as a rock and I’m not sure I like. Seems a lot harder than we remember in the store…kind of wondering if they delivered the wrong mattress.
