Leaving the hospitall
It was a good morning. Jamey finally has feeling in both hands and fingers!! His creatinine is down a bit more to 1.2. Our transplant team all stopped by today. Outta Here!
He is signing his discharge papers now. I have to jump over to Walgreens for a last minute prescription change. And then Jamey is taking home a happy kidney!! Ryan reports that he is feeling better every day. We can’t wait to get home to see him!
Rounds have started
Pain is a 2. Poop happened. BP still isn’t great. We’ll see what they say.

One more night
Not letting him go today. Still trying to get BP and pain management under control.
Learning how to live – again
Learning to be in end stage renal failure was overwhelming. Learning to be a transplant recipient is overwhelming. Today we learned about sorting all of the meds he has to take throughout each day. Whew!

Morning update
He had a good night on the 10th floor. Lots of walking and… A real shower!!! Woo Hoo! The room was really quiet compared to ICU so he didn’t sleep quite as well as he did down there. Both sets of parents have been here every day. We have had so much support! Gary and Laurie grabbed a picture tonight. Cute!
